Abstract / Paper Submission Guidelines
- Participants wishing to submit an abstract for the IV. International CBRN Congress must register via the website: www.cbrn2026.afad.gov.tr.
- Participants must select their preferred presentation type (Oral Presentation or Poster Presentation).
- Participants must choose one of the appropriate CBRN topic headings for their presentations.
- Participants will write the abstract title in Turkish and English in the relevant section. Only the first letter of the first word in the title should be capitalized.
- Paper abstracts must be uploaded to the relevant section in Turkish and English in the appropriate file format. The name of the files to be uploaded should be written with the first letter of the author's name capitalized and the entire surname in uppercase. (For example: Name_SURNAME_TR for Turkish papers, Name_SURNAME_EN for English papers).
- Keywords must be arranged in alphabetical order, separated from each other by commas, and written to consist of a minimum of 3 (three) and a maximum of 5 (five) words.
- Papers not prepared in accordance with spelling rules will not be evaluated by the scientific committee.
- Abstracts shall not exceed 300 words, excluding the title. The abstract shall include the sections “Purpose, Method, Results and Discussion”.
- A 2,5 cm margin will be left on the top, bottom, right, and left edges of the page containing the summary of the paper.
- The abstract title must be prepared using 12 point “Bold” “Times New Roman” font, single line spacing, and left alignment. Only the first letter of the first word of the title should be capitalized.
- One line below the title, only the authors' names must be listed (academic titles, ranks, etc., must not be included). Author names will be prepared using the “Times New Roman” 12 point font, single line spacing, and left alignment. The first letters of the authors' first and last names will be capitalized. The institutions where the authors work will be indicated using superscript numbers after each author's surname. The name and surname of the author who will make the presentation will be underlined.
- After one line containing the authors' first and last names, the authors' institutional information will appear. This information must be written in "Times New Roman" font, 12 point, with single line spacing, and left-aligned.
- The abstract text must begin one line below the institutional information. The text will be prepared using "Times New Roman" 12 point font, single line spacing, and justified alignment. The words "Purpose, Method, Discussion and Results" will be written in "Bold".
- Following the evaluation by the Scientific Committee, a notification of acceptance will be sent via email to participants whose abstracts are included in the scientific program.
- You are required to upload the relevant documents to the system after the acceptance email has been sent to you.
- The abstracts of the papers will be published in the congress proceedings book.
- Participants whose oral or poster presentations are accepted may upload their full texts to the system if they wish, up to September 25, 2026.
- The full texts in the congress proceedings booklet will be a maximum of 2000 words. Full text submission is not mandatory.
- The full text will be prepared in accordance with the writing rules applicable to the abstract. Paragraph indents in the text will be 0,5 cm.
- The subheadings in the full text will be prepared using “Times New Roman” 12 point “Bold” font, with single line spacing and left-aligned. Only the first letter of the first word of the heading will be capitalized.
- For in-text citations in the full text, the “APA 7th Edition” in-text citation system will be used.
- The full text will not contain footnotes or page numbers.
- Poster dimensions must be 60 cm in width and 90 cm in height(vertical format). Posters in horizontal format will not be accepted.
